Bombshell

Bombshell (pronunciation bombshell /ˈbɒmʃɛl//):

• (formal) An unexpected and surprising event.
• (informal) A very attractive woman.
• (wannabe) A collection of shell scripts for BASH!

For Linux users, the terminal interface is probably the quintessence of Linux itself, the source of its power, speed and effectiveness, yet also a tool that, much like the Force, can be used for "good" and "evil".

When it comes to using command chains to handle complex (or, at  least, not basic) tasks through your shell, man pages may cover everything you need to access in terms of syntax and the Internet itself can provide any answers you might possibly search for, yet not always in the most interactive and user-friendly way possible. Wrong input may not necessarily result in a command error and command output may not always be easily readable or at a decent format. Scripts and aliases are the way to go in such occasions.

Enter Bombshell, a project I've recently started to work on and which I believe that will greatly benefit from the Open Source community, as most of its members have probably made their own scripts, to cover their daily work flow! The idea behind it is a solid library of useful shell scripts for everyday computing, an ever-growing, powerful toolbox, fueled by the Community, which will help automate and quicken repetitive tasks that Linux users perform on their machines.

At this point, Bombshell is doing baby steps, yet I believe that sharing the idea of a large, unified toolbox of scripts will find appeal to many users, thus making its development grow quickly.
